Tokyo Map

One can select the Tokyo Challenge from the main menu at any stage in their career, and can use any unlocked cars in the career mode, or start the Tokyo Challenge without starting career mode in the first place. The player does not have to finish the Tokyo Challenge to enter career mode or vice versa, however, the player must unlock the Cadillac Cien from it's tournament, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R from the Original Riders Club Races or the Class A Vehicles in Detroit to be able to finish the Tokyo Challenge, as those are required to enter the Imperial Palace Tournament and the By Invitation Only Tournament, as if the player simply completed the Original Riders bike club to unlock the Ninja ZX-12R, the player can simply win the Pagani Zonda C-12 S from the Class A tournament then use it to enter the By Invitation Only tournament.

Club Tournaments[]

There is one tournament for each type of club, whether it is Luxury Rollers, By Invitation Only, or Choppers Of America Bike Club, there is a tournament for each. Each Club Tournament consists of 3 races, and winning the tournament unlocks a car of that type, for example if you win By Invitation Only you will get the Gemballa F355, an Exotic car. These are marked as blue trophies on the Tokyo Free Roam Map, or grey if you are not driving the right car/bike of the club.

Class Tournaments[]

There are 4 Class Tournaments in the Tokyo Challenge, one for each class of cars (Class D, Class C, Class B, Class A). If you win the tournament you will get the same class car as the tournament, for example, if you win the Imperial Palace Tournament, a Class A tournament, you will get the Pagani Zonda C-12 S, a Class A Exotic. These are marked as white trophies on the Tokyo Free Roam Map, or grey if you are not driving the right car class.

Races[]

Tournaments are unlocked by completing Tokyo Challenge Races, marked as purple diamonds on the Tokyo Free Roam Map. The more Tokyo Challenge Races you win, the more tournaments you will unlock. When you unlock all the tournaments in Tokyo, Tokyo Challenge Races will turn into regular City Races. The races can be Ordered Races, Circuit Races or Unordered Races.

Trivia[]

  • Assuming the player never started Career mode, and entered Tokyo Challenge before attempting Career Mode, the player can enter six of the tournaments.
    • These are: Ginza Class D tournament, Asakusa Class C Tournament, Unbeatable Street Racers tournament, American Royalty Car Club tournament and Luxury Rollers Car Club Tournament.
    • The Big Playas tournament can also be done, provided the player can afford the Hummer H1 for it's steep $117,508 price tag.
    • The player cannot enter the Asakusa Tournament until the player either unlocks Class C vehicles, defeats Phil to obtain the Hotmatch Cuevito or wins the Cadillac Coupe de Ville from the American Royalty Car Club Tournament or Hummer H3T from the Big Playas Tournament.
    • The player cannot enter the Chopper of America Bike Club until the player unlocks Class C vehicles or wins the Hotmatch Cuevito by defeating Phil.
    • The player cannot enter the Original Riders and Wharf tournament until the player unlocks Class B vehicles or wins the Ducati SS1000 from the Hotlanta Tournament.
    • The player cannot enter the Imperial Palace Tournament until the player wins the Cadillac Cien from the City Tournament or the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R from completing the Original Riders races, or unlocks Class A vehicles.
      • Likewise, the player cannot enter the By Invitation Only Tournament until the player wins the Imperial Palace tournament to earn the Pagani Zonda C-12 S (if the player won the Kawasaki from the Original Riders before an exotic car is unlocked), or wins the Cien/unlocks the Class A vehicles.
